Everyone loves a Raffle…

and it’s also another fundraiser to help pay for your speakers….

It’s understandable that you don’t want to spend too much on raffle prizes and you have to re-coop on ticket sales but have you thought of a sponsor???  a local gardening centre, plant Nursery or florist who could donate a  seasonal plant, bouquet in return for some free publicity for them either a Thank you in the local newspaper or if you are more techo minded add their logo and website address to your website supporters page for a year.  They may even come to give a talk about who and where the plant nursery is too.  If you don’t ask you don’t get!

I run Hook Gardening Club and I have managed to secure annual sponsors for the past 3 years now. 3 Local garden centres & local plant Nursery also a National Online gardening website Our 2016 Sponsor is Henleys Nurseries  They have been very generous offering gift vouchers as prizes or seasonal shrubs and in return they get a logo and weblink on our website for the year and mentions on social media and  they also retweet our meetings etc…  and I retweet there events, garden offers etc… and hand out any of their leaflets to our visitors at our meetings. I have even contacted local stately homes & garden and asked them to donate a family ticket and an ask them to send some of their leaflets that I can hand out to publicise their plant fair event etc…  it is a Win, Win for everyone!!

We easily make £20 – £30 PROFIT on selling the raffle tickets at every meeting
