Well, I have to admit that about 50% of my bookings are from clubs that I have spoken to before, I am a firm believer that if you make a good job of presenting your talk, then you will be invited back.

Did you know most clubs have regional meetings where they benchmark how much they pay speakers, and also share the best speakers they have had in the last 12 months. I used to wonder why I would get 2 or 3 bookings all at once, and then discovered that a club had shared my details.

So making sure every club I have spoken to is vital, they need my details to be able to share them…

I like to have an online list of talks, so that clubs can see that there are several talks to choose from and have confidence inviting me back, as they can see I can speak about many topics.

I used to have a paper list of talks in the old days.

However just having a list of talks did not get me bookings!

I had to send it out.

I had to take it with me to talks, and leave it with the speaker finder…

Now I have a web page with my talks.

Just having a web page does not get me bookings.

Emailing the speaker finder at clubs with a link to my website works.

Giving out a card with my website address brings me bookings.

Whilst this site gets over 1000 people visiting it every month

Just having a listing here does not guarantee bookings.

Its what you do with that listing that works…

I hope this helps…
